In all initial communication, we will aim to establish if your potential application is viable and relevant to the charity’s aims and objectives.
Here are a few notes as a brief guide that should help you decide but if you’re not sure simply make contact and we’ll take it from there:
Does your work fit within the broad remit of the charity’s objectives? See this page for information about Social Concern and the areas/kind of work we support.
Are you a registered charity or not-for-profit agency or affiliated to a charity?
Is your work within the geographies of the UK?
A registered charity number, if you have one, will be very helpful but not essential.
Grants are not awarded to individuals.
Grants are always awarded for one year initially but may be repeated over two or three years.
The grant awards range from £50 to a maximum of £5,000 each. The usual grant awarded is in region £1,500 to £3,000.
What happens next?
You will be sent via email the charity’s grant application pack. This consists of four papers which include Guidance Notes, Policies including Equal Opportunities and a clear summary of who we are and what we do etc.
